Why operators switch

From spreadsheets and phone calls to one live system

SkyCore Courier is in daily production with a Sri Lankan courier operator. This is the problem it was built to solve — and what changes once orders, dispatch and delivery live in one system.

The problem

Nobody could answer "where is that parcel?"

In most growing courier operations, orders arrive by phone and message and get typed into a shared spreadsheet. Dispatch is a printed list handed to riders in the morning. Once a rider leaves the building the office is blind until he returns — so every customer chasing a delivery means phoning a rider on a motorbike.

Month-end is worse: courier charges, rider payments and returns all reconciled by hand across separate files that rarely agree.

What changed

One system, from order to proof of delivery

Orders now go in once and flow straight through to dispatch. Riders carry the job on their phone, capture a photo at the door, and the office sees the status update as it happens — without calling anyone.

When a delivery fails or a customer asks to reschedule, the rider records it on the spot and it lands in the office queue automatically. Customers get a tracking link instead of ringing the office.

The result

What actually got better

No more "call the rider"

Live dispatch and rider GPS mean the office can answer a customer without interrupting a delivery.

Month-end in an afternoon

Courier charges, returns and payments reconcile from the same data, so the reports agree with each other by construction.

Disputes end with a photo

Proof-of-delivery images are attached to the order, so "it never arrived" is settled in seconds.

Rather judge it yourself?

SkyCore Courier is in daily production with a Sri Lankan courier operator who prefers not to be named publicly. The next best thing to their word is the software itself — the live demo is the real application, loaded with sample data, open for you to click through at your own pace.

If orders live in a spreadsheet and dispatch lives on paper, this is the conversation to have.
